HVAC & Service Matching FAQ
Have questions about how Valley Cool Connect works or what to expect from local HVAC services? Start here.
Are you an HVAC company?+
No. We're a local connection service. We match homeowners with licensed, insured HVAC contractors in the Phoenix and Peoria area.
Do I pay extra to use your service?+
No. Our service is free for homeowners. You only pay the HVAC company if you decide to hire them for work.
How fast will a technician contact me?+
Response times vary by time of day and season, but many homeowners hear back within minutes to a few hours. During peak summer heat, no-cool emergencies are prioritized whenever possible.
What areas do you cover?+
We primarily serve Phoenix, Peoria, and the surrounding West Valley cities such as Glendale, Surprise, Goodyear, and Avondale.
Can I get multiple quotes?+
Yes. If you'd like to compare options, simply let us know and we can connect you with additional providers when available.
What if I'm not happy with the company I'm matched with?+
You're under no obligation to hire any particular provider. If you're not comfortable with a company, let us know and we'll work to connect you with another option when possible.
Do you check licenses and insurance?+
Yes. We prioritize working with contractors who maintain proper licensing and insurance. You can also ask the company directly to provide proof.
Can you help with heating systems too?+
Many of our partners service both cooling and heating equipment. Simply mention any heating concerns when you contact us.
How much do AC repairs typically cost?+
Repair costs vary widely depending on the issue, parts needed, and system type. Minor repairs might cost $150-$400, while major component replacements can range from $500-$2,000+. Your technician will provide a detailed estimate before starting work.
What about new system installation costs?+
New AC system installations typically range from $4,000-$12,000+ depending on system size, efficiency rating, installation complexity, and brand. Your installer will provide exact pricing based on your specific needs.
Do I need to be home during service?+
Yes, someone over 18 should be home to provide access, describe the issue, and approve any work that needs to be done.
What payment methods do HVAC companies accept?+
Most HVAC companies accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Many also offer financing options for larger jobs like system replacements. Ask your matched provider about their specific payment options.
Are there warranties on repairs or installations?+
Reputable HVAC companies typically offer warranties on both labor and parts. New equipment comes with manufacturer warranties, and installers often provide additional warranties on their work. Be sure to ask about warranty coverage before hiring.
Can you help with commercial HVAC needs?+
Currently, we focus primarily on residential HVAC services. However, some of our partners do handle light commercial work. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
